Pacifika: New York Hawaiian Film
Festival
(NYHFF) presents works that explore questions of history, human
rights, and identity of Hawaiians and other Pacific Islanders.
The film
festival is an annual 3 day cultural celebration that takes
place in New
York City, co-sponsored with the New York
University Graduate Department of Film & Television. Pacifika:
NYHFF will host a weekend of films, discussions, activities
and workshops
that
express the rich tradition of native islanders throughout Polynesia.
It
is a unique opportunity for all islanders to come together
and share their artistic
expressions in the dynamic cultural context of New York City.
